DPP accepts apology from Honorable Gladys Ganda

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has officially announced its acceptance of an apology from Honorable Gladys Ganda, MP for Nsanje, following remarks she made at a gathering in Sorjin. In a press statement dated September 16, 2024, the party acknowledged Ganda’s regret over her comments and commended her for taking responsibility and showing genuine remorse.

The DPP emphasized that the decision to appoint Honorable Ganda as a special presidential advisor was made after thorough consideration and with the party’s best interests in mind. Despite the controversy surrounding her remarks, the DPP reaffirmed its decision, stating that she will continue to serve in the role.

“The DPP believes in forgiveness,” the statement noted, adding that the party is confident Ganda will continue to carry out her duties with diligence and sensitivity.
